Job summary

Faith Haven Senior Care seeks a dedicated Housekeeping and Laundry Aide in Jackson, MI. You will ensure clean and pleasant environments for residents, collect and sort soiled linen, operate laundry equipment, and deliver clean laundry to units.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 30 pounds and follow written and verbal instructions in English. We offer competitive starting wages of $15.25–$17.20 per hour with new wage increases, hero pay, shift premiums for weekends, and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and staff.
• Dust mop and damp mop resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, sitting and lobby areas, and other areas as assigned.
• Mix and handle chemicals in a safe manner.
• Strip and refinish floors, clean carpets, wash walls, and clean blinds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in resident areas, public areas, and support offices.
• Collect and sort soiled linen; load/unload washing machines; fold clean linen.
• Deliver clean laundry to assigned units; sanitize work area and machines.
• Ensure daily linen counts are accurate and storage areas are orderly.
• Operate and monitor laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

Will ensure cleanliness in resident areas, public areas, and support offices ensuring satisfaction is a top priority.This position is responsible for collecting and sorting soiled linen, loading and unloading washing machines, and folding clean linen. This position also counts the amount of linen processed each day, delivers clean laundry to assigned units, and cleans and sanitizes the work area, including machines, worktables, and sorting areas. You will earn:

• Starting wages $15.25 - 17.20 per hour depending on experience! NEW WAGES!

We can work with your scheduling needs:

• 8 hour shifts - Include rotating Weekends


• Full Time - 8 shifts per pay period

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:

• Laundry Aide requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.


• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.


• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.


• Dust mop and damp mop resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, sitting and lobby areas, and other areas as assigned.


• Collect and properly dispose of trash and soiled linen.


• Mix and handle chemicals in a safe manner.


• Strip and refinish floors, clean and shampoo carpets, wash walls, and clean blinds, as assigned.
