Job summary

WeCare Centers at Avalon Care Center in New Castle, PA seeks a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist in the kitchen before, during, and after meals for residents. You will help with meal preparation, serving, and ensuring sanitary standards are met in a caring community.

Responsibilities include maintaining work areas, inventory, and equipment, while accommodating individual resident dietary preferences and ensuring meals are served promptly and safely.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet all health compliance and competency requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Minimum 1 year food service experience.

• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as the facility standards and procedures.
• Serves meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
• Serves food from steam table and/or transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.
• Honors residents food likes, dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
• Ensures food supplies for the next day production is available.
• Assists cooks in preparing meals as directed.
• Uses proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.

WeCare Centers at Avalon Care Center is actively seeking motivated Dietary Aides for our community in New Castle, PA. Our Dietary Aides assist in the kitchen area prior to, during, and after meals are served to residents.
