An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide/Laundry Aide to ensure cleanliness and safety in a long-term care facility. In this role, you will maintain public and common areas, assist in resident room upkeep, and demonstrate excellent customer service. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team will contribute to a positive environment for residents and staff alike. Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day, including the lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors. Ensure the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms. Keep handrails clean and free of debris. Clean and remove dust, dirt, or food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and towel dispensers. Empty trash cans and replace liners. Sweep and mop floors.
Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage, and keep supplies and chemicals out of residents' reach. Use supplies and equipment safely by following user manual instructions. Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean, and orderly manner.
Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns. Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishing. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude. Exhibit excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Must occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Regularly required to sit, kneel, stand, walk, talk, read, or hear. Use of office equipment and housekeeping supplies daily.
Work typically occurs in environments with low to moderate noise and smells. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
