Job summary

The Alden Network in Illinois is seeking a dedicated housekeeping aide to support daily operations in our facility. You will follow established cleaning schedules, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and collaborate with staff to meet residents’ needs.

Responsibilities include performing cleaning tasks, adhering to safety and infection control guidelines, and participating in departmental quality assurance activities. Previous healthcare or senior-care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Must deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Follow established departmental policies and procedures, including dress code.
• Meet the Housekeeping Personnel to identify and correct problem areas and improve services.
• Follow and complete cleaning schedules daily as assigned.
• Maintain a warm, personal, and calm environment throughout the department.
• Participate in in-service education programs.
• Assist in orientation of new employees to the facility and department policies.
• Maintain supplies and equipment, and ensure proper labeling and dilution of chemicals.
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor.
• Contribute to facility’s Quality Assurance program for housekeeping.
