Job summary

Swan Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to maintain cleanliness and comfort in our skilled nursing facility. The role supports a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff, with options for part-time or full-time employment.

Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, resident rooms, floors, carpets, walls, and common areas, while following safety and sanitation protocols. Candidates must be able to lift heavy objects and read, write, and speak English clearly.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, and cleaning methods.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, move equipment, supplies, etc. in excess of fifty (50) pounds throughout the work day.

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures, removing water marks as needed
• Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways
• Clean floors, including sweeping, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting according to proper safety precautions
• Clean carpets, including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting
• Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc. in resident rooms and common areas as instructed
• Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators

Job Requirements:

• Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine, repetitive job duties
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies personnel
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas
• Must perform regular inspections of resident rooms for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties
• Must be personable with residents, families, and staff in a professional and cooperative manner
• Must have compassion, tolerance, and understanding for the elderly

Compensation:

• $22.15 - $22.15 HOURLY
