Job summary

Chestnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab is seeking excellent and hardworking Housekeeping Aides to join our facility team. Available Hours: 7am-3pm with weekend requirement.

The role focuses on cleaning and sanitation of the facility, daily room cleanliness, and adherence to safety and infection control procedures. Uniforms, reporting, and professional conduct are required for all staff.

Responsibilities

• The housekeeper is the focal point of our environmental service staff. He/she is responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the facility on a daily basis.
• Must be able to perform the necessary duties in the daily routine cleaning of resident rooms
• Must be able to perform the necessary duties for the monly carbolization cleaning of residents rooms
• Follow all safety procedures, infection control policies, and universal precautions to ensure the health and welfare of residents, staff and visitors
• Follow proper procedures for stocking housekeeping carts and closets
• All housekeepers must report to work in assigned uniform as deemed by the facility
• All housekeepers must report problems, concerns and maintenance issues to the supervisor
• All housekeepers must act in a courteous, professional, and appropriate manner at all times
