Job summary

Brookwood Care Community in Blue Ash, Ohio, is looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. You will perform daily housekeeping tasks, assist with resident rooms and common areas, and ensure surfaces are disinfected according to infection-control practices.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to read, write, and understand English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, and the general public.
• Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.
• Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, and seek out new methods to incorporate into existing maintenance practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned, including but not limited to: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and taking out the trash
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and corridors
• Disinfect and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and furniture to maintain a clean and healthy environment
• Empties ashtrays daily and cleans walls, ceilings, and floors as needed
• Reports any hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
• Participates in infection control and universal precautions practices
• Maintains the appearance of maintenance work areas and minimizes waste of supplies
• Provides exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff
• Demonstrates ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA requirements
