Diamond Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean and sanitary environment in our healthcare facility. You will clean resident rooms, common areas, and offices, ensuring safe and orderly spaces for residents and staff.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to follow written and oral instructions, with the goal of upholding infection control standards and resident comfort.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment and supplies (up to 50 lbs).
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Compassionate and respectful demeanor with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Clean resident rooms, hallways, lounges, restrooms, offices, and other assigned areas.
  • Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as scheduled.
  • Change bed linens and make beds as needed.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and soiled linens in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other supplies.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to supervisor.
  • Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Comply with infection control and safety procedures, including PPE usage.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect for all residents.
  • Follow daily assignment sheets and cleaning schedules.
  • Attend in-service training as required.
  • Support emergency cleaning tasks as needed (e.g., spills, isolation rooms).

Housekeeping Aide

The Housekeeping Aide plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for daily cleaning and disinfecting of resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and facility offices in accordance with federal, state, and facility standards.

Key Responsibilities:
