Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment across the Medical Center and support infection prevention efforts. The role involves cleaning, waste handling, and operating cleaning equipment in accordance with safety standards.

Schedule is 10 AM to 8:30 PM on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent (0–1 year experience preferred).

Housekeeper - FT Days / 40 hours

Schedule - 10AM - 8:30PM Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Friday

Salary Range: $17.71 - $31.09; pay based on experience PLUS SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS

Summary-Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the Medical Center. This role helps support infection prevention efforts by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas, properly handling and disposing of waste, and using appropriate cleaning equipment and procedures in accordance with established safety and infection control standards.

Essential Functions

• Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties in accordance with established schedules, departmental procedures, and infection control guidelines.
• Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary condition.
• Removes and properly disposes of waste in accordance with established waste-stream procedures.
• Cleans and services assigned areas following departmental standards and procedures.
• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies throughout the Medical Center as needed.
• Operates assigned cleaning equipment, including floor machines and buffers.
• Follows appropriate safety procedures when handling cleaning supplies, equipment, and waste.
• Participates in a minimum of eight department/unit meetings annually.
• Performs additional cleaning and environmental services duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No. Licenses and Credentials Experience Related experience 0-1 year preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely.
• Working knowledge of various cleaning tools like vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
