Job summary

Southwest LTC in Tuttle, OK is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide for day shift at the Tuttle Care Center. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will follow infection control policies, restock supplies, and support the healthcare team to ensure a pleasant and safe living space for residents. Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, long-term care, or hospitality preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and infection control practices.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and facility policies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces throughout the facility.
• Empty trash and replace liners in resident rooms and common areas.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, handrails, and equipment.
• Follow infection control procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
• Replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper.
• Respond to housekeeping requests from nursing staff and residents.
• Follow facility safety policies and proper waste disposal procedures.
• Assist with terminal cleaning of rooms after resident discharge or transfer.
• Maintain housekeeping carts and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
