Job summary

RRH Newark-Wayne Community Hospital is seeking a Hospital Housekeeper to join the EVS team in Newark, NY. Earn $17.50 per hour with full-time and part-time shifts available across Day/Evening/Night schedules.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms and public areas, maintaining cleanliness, and following established procedures while delivering courteous service to patients and staff. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and consistent quality in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.
• Preferred: Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare)

• Clean assigned areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and more.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas.
• Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices.
• Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital.

Hospital Housekeeper

• Wage: $ 17.50 /hour
• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Day/Evening/Night shifts available
• Location: Newark-Wayne Community Hospital at 1200 Driving Park Ave, Newark, NY 14513.

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
• Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
• Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
