Job summary

New Mark Rehab and Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated housekeeping aide to maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-presented facility for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include daily housekeeping tasks and adherence to established procedures.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, English communication ability, and the stamina to meet physical demands. A background screening is required, and prior cleaning experience is a plus.

• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions and specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments and established housekeeping procedures.
• Removes linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets to launder.
• Pick up and empties trash containers in resident rooms, common spaces, and office areas.
• Clean floors (sweeping, vacuuming, wet/dry mopping).
• Remove dust, dirt, grease, film, etc. from surfaces, using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Keeps walls, windows, ceilings, mirrors, etc. from surfaces, using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Stock bathrooms with soap, towels, and toilet paper.
• Monitor and report necessary repairs.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Housekeeping Physical Demands

To adequately perform the essential functions of the job you must have the physical capabilities to stand, sit, walk for extended lengths of time, push, pull and lift-up to 50 pounds unassisted with frequent and/or carrying objects weighting up to 50 pounds.Must be able to bend, pull and do repetitive motions daily.
