Responsibilities

• General cleaning: sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust store areas to maintain a presentable environment.
• Restroom maintenance: clean, sanitize, restock supplies for a hygienic customer experience.
• Hospitality areas: clean and stock break rooms and staff areas.
• Trash removal: empty bins and dispose of waste safely and neatly.
• Floor care: maintain floors, address spills promptly to prevent hazards.
• Cleaning supplies management: monitor stock and notify when replenishment is needed.
• Participate in special cleaning projects (seasonal deep clean, windows, etc.).
• Support customer-facing cleanliness to enhance the shopping experience.
• Follow health and safety regulations when handling chemicals and equipment.
• Weekend availability to support higher-traffic periods.

Steinhafels is looking to add a Housekeeping Associate to assist with cleaning our stores. The store housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and employees. This position focuses on cleaning and janitorial needs throughout the store, including restrooms, kitchen, and hospitality areas. The housekeeper ensures that all areas are consistently well-maintained, hygienic, and visually appealing. The role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to cleanliness.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• General Cleaning Perform routine cleaning duties throughout the store, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain a clean and presentable environment for customers and staff.
• Restroom Maintenance Ensure restrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly, restocking supplies, and ensuring a hygienic and pleasant experience for customers.
• Hospitality Areas Clean and maintain break rooms and hospitality spaces, ensuring these areas are tidy, sanitized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies.
• Trash Removal & Disposal Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in a safe, sanitary manner, ensuring that all trash areas is kept neat and organized.
• Floor Care Responsible for maintaining floors throughout the store by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and ensuring spills or debris are cleaned up promptly to prevent hazards.
• Cleaning Supplies Management Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low or need to be replenished.
• Special Cleaning Projects Participate in special cleaning projects, including seasonal deep cleaning, floor waxing, or cleaning of windows and other high-traffic areas as needed.
• Customer Interaction Assist in maintaining a positive shopping environment by ensuring the store is clean and inviting for customers, contributing to an overall excellent customer experience.
• Health & Safety Compliance Adhere to health and safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring the proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies.
• Weekend Availability Must be available to work weekends as part of the regular schedule to ensure the store remains clean during high-traffic periods.

• Physical Stamina This role requires frequent bending, kneeling, and walking (approximately 80% of the time), with the ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
