Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring for a kitchen position in Columbus, OH. Perform duties to maintain kitchen work areas and equipment in clean, orderly condition. Emphasis on safety, sanitation, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include sweeping and mopping floors, operating dishwashers and sanitation equipment, washing surfaces, and assisting with banquet setup and supply delivery as needed. This role supports a high-volume food service environment.

Qualifications

• Must adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
• Experience with large kitchen equipment preferred.
• Able to perform repetitive cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers and sanitation equipment.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and food prep surfaces.
• Segregates and removes trash; cleans containers.
• Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas with safe lifting.
• Assists with banquet table and front of house setup as requested.
• Assist with loading/unloading and delivering supplies.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Complies with sanitation and safety requirements.

Summary

Perform job duties required to maintain kitchen work areas, kitchen equipment in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surfaces as assigned.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas.
• Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food preparation machines and equipment.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up as requested.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
