INTOWN SUITES in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. You will perform routine and deep cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, laundry areas, and common spaces to meet company standards and guest expectations.

This role emphasizes guest satisfaction, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a team on flexible schedules while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of housekeeping/laundry standard operating procedures and techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions, directions and meet deadlines.
• Ability to clean the minimum required rooms per shift.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, reaching, bending and squatting.
• Ability to handle multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to visually inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and presentation.
• Ability to work with a team and maintain guest-focused service standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms according to standard procedures.
• Remove trash from guest rooms and surrounding areas.
• Maintain all hotel areas to company standards, even if not assigned.
• Clean bathrooms, kitchens, and dining areas.
• Vacuum and wash floors; dust and polish furnishings.
• Maintain exterior room appearance and cleanliness of fixtures.
• Restock housekeeping cart at end of shift.
• Operate housekeeping equipment per SOPs.

The Housekeeperis responsible formaintaininga clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. This role performs routine and deep cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, laundry areas, and common spaces while ensuring company cleanliness standards and guest service expectations are met. TheHousekeeperplaysan important rolein guest satisfaction by ensuring accommodations are properlymaintainedand ready for occupancy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean guest rooms according to company standard operating procedures

• Remove trash and miscellaneous debris from guest rooms and surrounding areas

• Ensure all areas of hotel are up to company standards even if not assigned cleaning area

• Clean bath area including tub, toilet, sinks, walls, lights, removing and replacing bath linens

• Clean kitchen and dining area including refrigerator, microwave, sink, counters, cabinets, and tables

• Clean floors by vacuuming and washing floors according to standard operating procedures

• Maintain all furnishings by dusting and polishing furniture and appliances

• Maintain outside of room appearance by cleaning siding, A/C grill, doors, and windows

• Notify Head Guest Room Attendant of room readiness

• Keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart at the end of shift

• Operate housekeeping equipment by following standard operating procedures

• Notify supervisorimmediatelyof any safety and/or security violations of policy

• Notify supervisorimmediatelyof any guest concerns

• Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests

Essential Qualifications:

• Possess good knowledge of housekeeping/laundry standard operating procedures and techniques

• Ability to follow instructions, directions and meet deadlines

• Ability to clean theminimum required rooms per shift

• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead when performing cleaning tasks and the ability to stoop, bend and squat

• Ability to step in and perform a variety of housekeeping/laundry positions in response to business needs

• Ability to visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas, etc. for quality in cleanliness and presentation

• Ability to manage multiple activities often in stressful situations and with time constraints

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,depthperception,and ability to adjust focus.

• Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces

• Standing for eight (8) hour shifts

• Exposure to extreme weather conditions,coldand heat
