The position requires ability to work independently and adhere to strict cleanliness protocols, with the work hours being Monday to Friday from 4:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Qualifications

Job description

JSW Steel is seeking a Housekeeper who will be responsible for performing all duties related to the cleaning and upkeep of restrooms and offices within the mill. This role ensures a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for employees and visitors.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all areas within the steel mill, including workstations, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a pristine environment.
• Sanitize surfaces regularly to uphold health and safety standards in accordance with industrial protocols.
• Manage laundry tasks for employee uniforms and facility linens to ensure cleanliness and freshness.
• Handle custodial responsibilities including waste disposal, restroom sanitation, and equipment cleaning with attention to detail.
• Assist with janitorial duties such as window washing, dusting high surfaces, and maintaining cleaning supplies inventory.
• Support overall facility maintenance by reporting any repair needs or safety hazards promptly.

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
• Experience with residential or commercial cleaning tasks including floor care and sanitation procedures.
• Background in hotel housekeeping or hospitality environments is advantageous due to customer service skills.
• Familiarity with laundry processes and carpet cleaning techniques is beneficial.
• Knowledge of housekeeping management practices and safety protocols within a large-scale industrial environment.
• Proven ability to work independently while adhering to strict cleanliness standards.
• Must be comfortable wearing PPE.
• Able to work Monday-Friday from 4:30 AM to 12:30 pm.
• Bilingual is a plus.
