The purpose of this position is to maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of Wilmington Police Department facilities for staff, visitors, and tenants. Responsibilities include locking and unlocking buildings, purchasing supplies, moving furniture, running errands, and assisting with special events. Other related duties may be assigned.
Note: Employees may work in both indoor and outdoor environments and be exposed to hazards such as chemicals and human body fluids, complying with OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards. The role may require being called back after hours and reporting during inclement weather.
Ability to read and understand written instructions, comprehend simple processes, and operate routine machines. Knowledge level is equivalent to less than high school or GED.
At least one year of relevant experience.
Class C Driver's License.
Ability to exert 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly. The position involves standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, reaching, kneeling, twisting, balancing, and talking.
