Alto Overland Park is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain clean and welcoming living spaces for residents in Overland Park, Kansas. The role supports a comfortable home through thorough cleaning, sanitation, and linen management, with a focus on safety and resident dignity.

The position offers a 1st shift, Sunday–Thursday, 9:00am–5:30pm, at $15.50–$16.50 per hour, based on experience. No certifications required; prior assisted living housekeeping is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Familiar with safe operation of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, spray bottles, and with the safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
• The Community is a drug free workplace, associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Responsabilités

• Clean resident rooms, common areas, hallways, and public spaces to the highest standards.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing.
• Launder and manage linens and resident personal items as needed.
• Respond to resident housekeeping requests in a timely and courteous manner.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols throughout the community.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance and care teams to maintain a clean, safe environment.

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Full-Time

What You’ll Do:

The primary responsibility of the Housekeeper is to clean vacant apartments in preparation for move-in as well as to clean occupied apartments on a weekly basis or as scheduled, follow the cleaning schedule outlined for the cleaning of the common areas of the Community, and assure that the highest degree of cleanliness is always maintained.

Areas of Responsibility

• Clean vacant apartments in preparation for move-in using Company Checklist. Report any problem areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Clean occupied apartments, respite and guest apartments as scheduled using Company Checklist. Report any problem areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Detail clean halls and other common areas as scheduled or when requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor. Keep inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure an adequate supply. Report items needed to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Keep laundry rooms and housekeeping/linen rooms clean and organized. Clean lint from dryer lint traps daily and clean area behind washer & dryer equipment weekly.
