Job description

The Broadmore Miami Beach is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and motivated individual for the position of Housekeeper at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. The candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills, along with a strong proficiency in multi-tasking. Previous hotel housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

The responsibilities of the Housekeeper include but are not limited to:

1. Reporting to the Housekeeping Office at the beginning of the shift, picking up and signing out the key, and returning the key at the end of the shift.
2. Cleaning and maintaining all assigned rooms and suites daily, including bed stripping, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, checking room lights and television, spot cleaning, and stocking all room supplies.
3. Reporting any missing items from rooms and suites.
4. Reporting all items in need of repair to the supervisor and maintaining the equipment used in work.
5. Protecting guest safety and well-being; being courteous to all guests and co-workers. Keeping all doors closed during cleaning for safety and security.
6. Taking all lost and found items to the Housekeeping office as soon as they are found.
7. Having comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
8. Accurately reporting information.
9. Following all safety training to maintain proper health, including bending, stretching, arm movement, and lifting techniques.
10. Scrupulously following all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.
11. Attending required meetings.
12. Minimum lifting of 20 pounds, pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity, hearing, writing, and reading.
13. Minimum pulling of 20 pounds.
14. Performing other duties as assigned.
15. Having a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
16. High school education preferred; relevant training and experience required.
17. Additional language ability is preferred.
