Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Dahlonega is seeking a Room Attendant / Housekeeper to ensure guest rooms meet our high standards of cleanliness and comfort. You will vacuum, dust, remove trash, clean bathrooms, and make beds to provide a welcoming home-away-from-home for guests.

The role requires physical activity, ability to work with a team, and a friendly, guest-focused approach. We offer benefits including E-Verify participation and a positive work culture.

Qualifications

• A genuine and friendly approach to guest interactions.
• Able to collaborate with teammates and with other departments
• Previous experience in janitorial, cleaning or housekeeping preferred but not required
• Able to interact with guests in a friendly manner.
• While English fluency may not be required for this role, the Room Attendant should have sufficient communication skills to be able to direct the guest to someone who can better assist them
• Friendly demeanor – a smile when passing a guest is a great communication skill
• Consistent awareness of physical environment and attention to safety & security
• Attention to all details in each room; impeccable cleanliness in each and every detail
• Self-motivated to complete tasks efficiently & thoroughly
• Able to efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure that rooms are done within prescribed time limits and done to standard.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position;
• Pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, working quickly and constantly on your feet.
• Basic understanding of cleaning tools, equipment and chemicals
• Understanding of safety protocols and able to report safety hazards

The Role

As a Room Attendant / Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guest’s first impression of their room is a spotless and welcoming home-away-from-home, and that every detail of their room is in perfect order.
