Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing daily cleaning tasks for patient areas, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, and other assigned areas in accordance with the standards of the Environmental Services Department, Dameron Hospital, and Crothall Healthcare, Inc. standards and objectives. Must be able to work in all patient care and operational areas with reasonable accommodations, and employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures. Participation in the Respiratory Protection Program, including wearing a respirator if required, is necessary. This is a union position. See Essential Job Functions for more details.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years of housekeeping experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: None required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Perform basic cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and methods, including dusting, trash removal, damp cleaning, polishing fixtures, mopping, spot cleaning walls and windows, restocking supplies, and vacuuming.
  2. Perform heavier cleaning tasks such as scrubbing or buffing floors, shampooing carpets, stripping and refinishing hard surface floors, and disposing of trash properly.
  3. Assist in cleaning emergency spills and maintain cleanliness of equipment, reporting repairs as needed.
  4. Observe and report repairs needed for equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
  5. Work as a team player and participate actively in meetings.

Details: FTE: 0.5 (8-hour shifts), PM shift 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM.
