Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment.

Essential Functions

1. Perform specific cleaning and custodial tasks in the general upkeep, sanitation and cleanliness of the facility.
2. Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides.
3. Perform other housekeeping duties such as moving and arranging furniture, turning mattresses, cleaning kitchens, utensils, and floors as needed.
4. Launder soiled linens as directed.
5. Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for the department.
6. Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
7. Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
8. Stock supplies as needed.
9. Follow all infection control measures.

Other Functions

• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience in housekeeping in a healthcare environment preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid state driver's license, if required.
• CPR and de-escalation/resistance certification required (training provided).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
