THE HOURS: Two to Three shifts per week; 7:30AM to 4PM.

THE POSITION:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking housekeeper to join our team in a senior living community. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining all areas of the facility in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with seniors.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred, preferably in a senior living or healthcare environment
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull equipment carts weighing up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Dependable transportation required

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, common areas, and administrative offices following established procedures
• Dust, vacuum, mop, sweep, and sanitize floors, carpets, and furniture
• Clean and disinfect all surfaces including countertops, tables, and chairs
• Stock and maintain cleaning supplies; notify supervisor when supplies need reordering
• Maintain laundry rooms, including washing, folding, and distributing linens and towels
• Report maintenance or repair needs to supervisor
• Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional conditions
• Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• This role requires standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull equipment carts up to 100 pounds is essential.
• Working in a senior living environment, exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and allergens is possible.
