Position: Housekeeper

The Housekeeper at Pine Haven Christian Home works independently to provide a clean and sanitary environment for our residents. This position is for 45 hours per pay period (every two weeks), on day shift (7:00am-1:30pm), including every 5th weekend.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and cleaning activities within established guidelines in assigned areas including resident rooms and common areas throughout the facility.
• Complete assigned cleaning duties promptly according to schedule.
• Perform tasks such as dusting, mopping/vacuuming floors, shampooing carpets, and cleaning bathrooms including sinks, tubs/showers, floors, and toilets.
• Distribute clean linens.
• Use cleaning solutions safely and follow all safety precautions.
• Keep work areas and cleaning carts clean, and store equipment, tools, and supplies properly.
• Remove and dispose of trash.
• Provide cleaning for room turnovers.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Attend and participate in required training, including safety procedures such as fire safety, resident safety, evacuations, and disaster response.
• Report any changes in a resident’s needs or condition immediately to a licensed nurse or manager.
