Solomon R Guggenheim Museum – 1071 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10128

Schedule: 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm, weekends required. Days may vary.

Compensation

Fixed Pay Rate: $17.87 per hour

Job Summary

Perform light cleaning duties to maintain establishments such as museums, hotels, restaurants, and hospitals. Duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service to guests and staff by maintaining attention to detail.
• Sweeps, scrubs, mops, and polishes floors.
• Vacuums carpets, rugs, and draperies.
• Shampoos carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
• Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings.
• Cleans metal fixtures and fittings.
• Empties and cleans trash containers and disposes of trash in a sanitary manner.
• Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers, and wipes down glass surfaces.
• Makes up beds and changes linens as required.
• Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
• Responds to guest queries, requests, and housekeeping problems such as spills or broken glasses.
• Contributes to team efforts and exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
