Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to clean common living areas and resident apartments in our community in Glenshaw, PA. You will oversee cleaning of the facility with emphasis on common areas and bathrooms, and complete maintenance reports as needed.

You will also operate laundry equipment, monitor supplies, and ensure privacy and respect for residents. A team-focused, courteous individual is preferred and weekend/holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping is preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to work with residents, visitors and staff.
• Must be able to lift and carry objects as part of duties.
• Must be flexible to weekends and holidays.
• Maintains cleanliness and privacy at all times.

Job description

3450 Harts Run Road, Glenshaw, Pennsylvania 15116 Job Description The Housekeeper shall be responsible for cleaning common living areas and resident apartments in the community.

Oversee cleaning of the entire facility, with particular emphasis on the common areas and the apartment bathrooms

Complete maintenance request reports when needed

Report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to housekeeping supervisor

Operate the laundry equipment when needed

Report inadequate quantities of all supplies needed to perform duties to housekeeping supervisor

Use only approved cleaning products and ensure that all cleaning supplies are properly stored at all times

Clean office areas when assigned

Dust and clean all window blinds in the community

Dust all furniture, book shelves, etc. in resident apartments and common areas

Vacuum common areas and resident apartments

Keep common area and resident bathrooms clean

Clean apartments at resident move-out

Attend required in-services and staff meetings

Maintain resident privacy/confidentiality at all times.

Follow all policies regarding release of resident information

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Housekeeping experience highly desired
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
• Ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team
• Polite and courteous to all residents, visitors, co-workers and management team
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet
• Must wear designated uniform during work hours and maintain good personal hygiene
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
