Job summary

Gulf Coast Village in Cape Coral, FL is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to support a compassionate, resident-focused care environment. This PRN role emphasizes reliable cleaning, sanitation, and teamwork to maintain a welcoming campus.

You’ll work with VOANS, gaining opportunities for career growth and valuable, purpose-driven service in a healthcare setting. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred, and you’ll utilize basic computer tasks for timekeeping and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions.
• Adequate strength, endurance and coordination for cleaning tasks.
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Ability to utilize computers for timekeeping and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs defined cleaning procedures, using chemicals and cleaning agents, supplies and equipment.
• Replenishes paper products, hand soap, and wastebasket liners as needed during routine cleaning.
• Maintains housekeeping cart and utility closets in sanitary and orderly condition.
• Performs other related duties as deemed necessary.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Previous institutional housekeeping/cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow procedures, work assignments, instructions, warnings and labels.
• Adequate strength, endurance and coordination to meet the strenuous physical demands of such responsibilities as dusting, mopping, vacuuming and scrubbing.
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
