Maryland Science Center is seeking a custodial staff member to maintain cleanliness and safety for visitors and staff. You will clean bathrooms, exhibit spaces, eating facilities, and public areas while hauling trash and recycling to support a welcoming environment.
The role requires 0-3 years of custodial experience, knowledge of custodial techniques, and the ability to follow written instructions with minimal supervision. A background check and ability to lift 40 lbs are required.
Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the Maryland Science Center for visitors and staff. Presenting a positive impression to our guests while working in public spaces. This includes but is not limited to cleaning bathrooms, exhibit spaces, eating facilities, indoor and outside activity spaces, hauling trash, and recycling.
Works under general supervision to maintain a clean and safe environment in and around the Science Center for all visitors and fellow workers. Performs all housekeeping duties in public and private areas. Assist in the moving and stocking of supplies.
High School Diploma or equivalent
0-3 Years Custodial Experience
Knowledge of: Custodial techniques
Skills: Communicate with fellow workers within the organization
Ability to:
Schedule: Variable days, Tuesday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm and Saturday & Sunday 8:30am-5:00pm. Weekend availability required.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $15/hour
