Position Summary

Under the direction of management and supervision, this hands-on position is responsible for debris removal and sorting throughout the seating bowl and open-air concourse following events and MLB games, ranging from 20 to 42,000+ individuals, in various weather conditions. This position requires evening into overnight availability due to the nature of MLB game or event end times.

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.

Benefits: As outlined in union contract.

About the Venue

Citizens Bank Park is a professional baseball stadium located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the city's South Philadelphia Sports Complex. It is the ballpark of Major League Baseball's Philadelphia Phillies. Each year this open-air stadium has the pleasure of hosting the MLB season, concerts, trade shows, corporate events, charity walks, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Removal and sorting of refuse and recycling throughout the seating bowl and concourse, post event, within an open-air facility; gathering and discarding them into proper disposal units.
  • In addition to manual debris removal, individuals will be designated and trained to operate backpack blowers which will be used to move smaller debris to designated locations to be swept and discarded.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to work flexible evening, overnight, weekend and holiday hours.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work closely with others
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency
  • Perform general labor related tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, bend, reach and climb stairs throughout shift as needed
  • Must be able to lift 25+ pounds throughout the shift
  • Ability to move heavy (100+ pounds) wheeled carts.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and temperatures
  • Must be comfortable with heights
