We are looking to fill overnight shifts from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Previous EVS / Housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is desired.

Summary/Objective:

Provides daily housekeeping services to patients to ensure a safe, clean, and sanitary environment in accordance with laws, regulations, and facility guidelines.

Essential Functions:
  • Supports patients and staff in the hospital Emergency Room.
  • Assists in cleaning exam rooms and support areas between patient visits.
  • Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms throughout the hospital.
  • Cleans fixtures including restrooms, light fixtures, water fountains, etc.
  • Dusts and disinfects horizontal surfaces throughout the facility.
  • Removes trash and cleans/disinfects waste containers.
  • Cleans and disinfects restrooms throughout the facility.
  • Cleans public spaces including corridors, stairwells, elevators, waiting rooms, lobby, etc.
  • Attends in-service educational programs.
  • Follows safety codes while performing all duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping/EVS department or designee.

Work Environment:

This position requires lifting up to 40 pounds. The work involves moving throughout the facility, bending, lifting, sitting, and standing. It may include dealing with distressed patients and family members, working rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, and exposure to odors, infectious diseases, waste, blood, and body fluids.

Physical Demands:

Continuous standing and walking, reaching, stooping, bending, lifting, and working with chemicals. Must be free from infections or diseases and able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time hourly position, working 40 hours per week, from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Required Education and Experience:
  1. Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  3. Minimum one year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is desired.
  4. Knowledge of cleaning and infection prevention.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
  • Effective communication skills with staff, residents, and families.
  • Manual dexterity to operate housekeeping equipment.
  • Willingness to perform routine tasks with interruptions.
  • Ability to follow directions and work flexible hours, including emergencies.
  • Patience and tolerance towards staff, residents, and families.
Additional Information

Job Type: Full Time

Hourly wage: $13.00 to $15.00, depending on experience
