Job summary

Remington Hospitality is seeking a Housekeeping Room Attendant to clean guest rooms and public areas to the standards of the property. You will follow procedures, stock supplies, and report maintenance issues as needed.

This role requires efficiency, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work varied shifts; good communication in English and a respectful approach to guests and colleagues is essential.

Position Summary

The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the guest rooms, public areas and back of house areas, such as the linen room and laundry areas, according company procedures and at a level that meets or exceeds company standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the guest room areas, including bathroom and bedroom, according company standards
• Organize and stock cleaning cart, and organize linen closets as assigned
• Complete assigned paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning spills or executing special guest requests

Physical Requirements

• Quickly and thoroughly perform cleaning duties in guest rooms, spending approximately 24 minutes per guest room, and cleaning approximately 18 rooms per shift
• Sit, stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time
• Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning requirements
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness and immediately report guest belongings that have been left behind
• Lift approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies on and off a cart, using safe lifting techniques
• Push heavy carts, approximately one hundred (100) pounds
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, using written communication skills
