Job summary

Sierra Tucson, a world-renowned residential treatment center, seeks a Full-time Housekeeper to maintain a clean and healthy patient care environment on a 8:00 PM–4:30 AM schedule (Fri–Mon) at 39580 S Lago del Oro Parkway, Tucson, AZ. Hourly rate is $16.00.

Prior healthcare housekeeping experience is preferred; a high school diploma is preferred. Responsibilities include disinfecting rooms, laundering linens, stocking supplies, and adhering to infection control measures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to disinfect and clean using germicides and cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain sanitation and cleanliness of the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies using appropriate germicides.
• Move and arrange furniture, clean kitchens and floors, and launder soiled linens as directed.
• Stock cleaning supplies and ensure proper storage of equipment after each shift.
• Follow all infection control measures and prepare rooms for meetings and events.

Essential Functions

• Perform specific cleaning and custodial tasks in the general upkeep, sanitation and cleanliness of the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment.
• Perform other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit use.
• Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
• Responsible for stocking of supplies as needed
• Follow all infection control measures.

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical or healthcare environment preferred.

Licenses/Designations/Certifications

• Valid state driver's license, where required in a facility.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
