Job description

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment.

SIGN-ON BONUS:

$600.00 sign-on bonus

This position requires weekend work. Days off will be Wednesday and Thursday.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain sanitation and cleanliness of the facility.
  2. Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies using appropriate germicides and processes.
  3. Perform housekeeping duties such as moving and arranging furniture, turning mattresses, cleaning kitchens, utensils, silverware, and floor surfaces.
  4. Launder soiled linens as directed.
  5. Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for the department/unit.
  6. Properly clean and store equipment and supplies after each shift.
  7. Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
  8. Stock supplies as needed.
  9. Follow all infection control measures.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or clinical environment preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Valid state driver’s license, if required.
  • CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).
  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
