Overview

Under the guidance of housekeeping management, the Lead will assist with delegating multiple housekeeping tasks, training, and orienting new staff. They will have decision-making authority and delegate tasks in the absence of management, primarily on weekends and holidays when EVS leadership is unavailable.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure all discharge beds are cleaned within the required time frame.
2. Perform regular housekeeping duties, providing a high level of cleaning quality in assigned areas and maintaining a clean work environment.
3. Assist EVS Leadership daily.
4. Help in scheduling, training, and orienting employees and all floor work.
5. Take responsibility for the shift when EVS Leadership is absent.
6. Delegate tasks to housekeeping staff under managerial guidance.
7. Demonstrate knowledge of chemical handling and ensure proper use of chemicals and equipment as trained.
8. Make decisions in the absence of EVS Leadership.
9. Be familiar with all job procedures and operate all housekeeping equipment.
10. Monitor EVS staff in their assigned areas.
11. Orient and train staff as needed and provide input during the three-month evaluation based on their training and experience.
12. Perform crisis management when EVS Leadership is absent.
13. Report unsatisfactory performance or behavior to EVS Leadership.
14. Report maintenance issues to the maintenance department via work orders.

Salary Range
