Samaritan Health Services is seeking an Environmental Services staff member at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Oregon. The role supports cleaning and sanitizing across hospital areas and assists with training and records for the department.
Day shift, on-site work, with moderate physical duties including moving furniture and equipment. A high school diploma is preferred and some leadership experience is valued.

Assists Environmental Services leadership with the training of employees, departmental records maintenance, and quality assurance inspections. Helps to ensure employees clean and sanitize hospital and clinic building areas following established policies and procedures to maintain the environment in an orderly and sanitary condition. Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around hospital department/buildings.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Environmental Services provides a professional, clean, safe, and sanitary environment for Samaritan Health Services in support of the health care mission. Services including cleaning and floor/carpet care, repairs, loans of tables/chairs and equipment, custodial services, linen distribution and waste removal.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One (1) of the following required:
One (1) year experience in a custodial/janitorial/housekeeping position.
Six (6) months leadership experience. Leadership experience in a related area preferred.
Experience and/or training in cleaning techniques and procedures and applying knowledge in the areas of: Infection Control, aseptic cleaning and use/care of floor care machines required.
Current valid Oregon driver's license preferred, but not required for all applicants. Note: Some work areas require the use of the employee's personal automobile. Employee must have a valid driver's license and auto liability/property damage insurance as required by law and must maintain their vehicle in good working order. If the employee is driving SHS vehicles, then successful completion of Drivers Privileges for SHS Vehicles application process required.
