Job summary

The Benedictine Living Community-New Brighton is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness across resident rooms, restrooms, and common areas in a health care setting. Following policy, procedures, and infection control guidelines, you will support a comfortable living environment for residents and families.

Hours are full-time, days, 8am to 4pm, with 10 shifts every two weeks and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, public and resident restrooms, and shower/bathing areas by following policies and infection control guidelines.
• Complete resident discharges and prepare rooms for next admission; ensure areas stocked with soap, towels, and toilet paper.
• Operate and care for housekeeping equipment, including vacuums, carts, and carpet cleaning machines.

Overview

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness within the facility, including resident/patient rooms, public and resident restrooms, and shower and bathing areas by following policies/procedures and infection control guidelines.

Responsibilities

Completes resident discharges and prepares the room for next admission. Ensures all areas are properly stocked with items such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Operates and cares for all housekeeping equipment including vacuums, housekeeping carts, carpet cleaning machines, etc.
