St. Paul's Towers Housekeeping and Laundry Aide

Summary: Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor, performs housekeeping and cleaning duties within established guidelines in assigned areas. Responsible for maintaining the neat and clean appearance of residents' rooms and common areas.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors to ensure satisfaction.
  2. Dust furniture; wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
  3. Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and hallways. Rearrange small furniture if needed. Sweep, scrub, and wax floors as required.
  4. Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays; transport trash and waste to disposal area.
  5. Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and hallways as scheduled.
  6. Report equipment, structural, or furniture needs for repair. Complete maintenance or housekeeping orders promptly.
  7. Assist with laundry and linens as assigned.
  8. Perform final cleanings for new residents as needed.
  9. Stock and maintain supply rooms.
  10. Perform all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, unloading, ironing, folding, storing, and delivering.
  11. Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and area.
  12. Perform emergency housekeeping when accidents or special needs arise.
  13. Follow department safety standards and participate in safety programs.
  14. Adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness and comply with all policies, health codes, and guidelines.
  15. Wear PPE and safety equipment as required; report safety hazards or accidents.
  16. Attend mandatory in-service meetings and comply with policies and procedures.
  17. Follow safe work habits to prevent injuries to self, residents, visitors, and colleagues.
Credentials:

Education: High School diploma or GED required.

Experience: Relevant experience or qualifications preferred.
