Job description

$15.00/hour, Day Shift + Every Other Weekend
At Cedarbrook Senior Living, we work hard every day to find out what “Celebrating Life Every Day!” means to our residents and their families, then we help them achieve these goals. Our Housekeepers/Laundry Aides are accountable for the following:
Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning duties according to schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges, and offices.
  • Collect soiled linens, launder linens, and fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry.
  • Keep laundry and linen storage rooms clean and organized.
  • Sweep, dust, dust mop, and wet mop all floors and stairways; spot clean and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets, and runners. Rotate runners in hallways and entryways.
  • Collect trash and refuse from work areas and place in designated pick-up areas.
  • Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures and facilities; stock dispensers as necessary.
  • Dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize, and hand shampoo furniture; dust desks and floor lamps; clean and polish glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills.
  • Scrub bathroom and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills.
  • Maintain equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Report any needed repairs to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Report supply and equipment needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor for replenishing.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
