Job summary

ISH Dining Services in Pennsylvania is seeking multiple Housekeepers/Laundry Aide for a facility. The role is 1st or 2nd shift with rotating weekends and holidays, delivering a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents.

The position requires English proficiency and prefers a high school diploma or equivalent. Compensation is $13.00 per hour, with benefits including dental, health, and vision insurance. This is a full-time on-site role in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, attractive manner according to procedures.
• Follow supervisor's instructions and established housekeeping guidelines.
• Seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into housekeeping practices.
• Economical use of supplies and proper care of equipment.
• Be able to keep up with work demand and schedule.
• Deal tactfully with residents, staff, visitors, and the general public.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

General Description:

1st or 2nd Shift position with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.Maintains assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, attractive manner in accordance with established procedures, as directed by supervisor, to assure the highest standard of cleanliness and sanitation.

Essential Job Functions:

1.Must be able to understand English.

2. Must be knowledgeable of housekeeping practices, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to health care facilities.

3. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

4. Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing housekeeping practices.

5. Must have economical use of supplies, care and use of equipment.

6. Must be able to keep up with work demand and schedule.

7. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, and the general public.

8. Perform additional duties as needed and assigned by supervisor.
