Smithtown Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing Care is looking for a Per-Diem Housekeeping/Laundry Employee to perform essential cleaning and laundry services for residents. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, ensuring surfaces are disinfected, and assisting residents as needed.

The role requires flexibility in shifts, including weekends and holidays, with opportunities for additional shifts during the month.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and hallways.
• Disinfecting surfaces, particularly in bathrooms and high-touch areas.
• Changing bed linens and replenishing towels and amenities.
• Sorting, washing, and folding laundry.
• Maintaining adequate supplies of cleaning products and toiletries.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or damage to management.
• Following established cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Interacting with residents to address their needs or concerns.

Smithtown Center - Per-Diem Housekeeping/Laundry Employee

Days to work will be as needed which include weekends, holiday and cover to shift when needed, but must work at least 1 shift within 30 days. Could have opportunity to work multiple days during the month.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning: Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and hallways.
• Sanitization: Disinfecting surfaces, particularly in bathrooms and high‑touch areas.
• Linens: Changing bed linens and replenishing towels and amenities.
• Laundry: Sorting, washing, and folding laundry.
• Supplies: Maintaining adequate supplies of cleaning products, toiletries, and other necessary items.
• Maintenance: Reporting any maintenance issues or damage to management.
• Safety: Following established cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Resident Interaction: May interact with residents to address their needs or concerns.
