Job summary

Newport Hospitality in Columbia, SC seeks a detail‑oriented Housekeeping Inspector to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards. You will supervise room attendants, coordinate with management, and uphold brand quality while supporting the team in daily tasks.

Candidates should have prior housekeeping experience (supervisory preferred), exceptional attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with brand standards
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues to the appropriate departments
• Training and supporting housekeeping staff to meet quality standards
• Flexibility to clean rooms when necessary, as well as lobby and other public spaces
• Assisting in inventory management and ordering supplies when needed

Requirements:

• Prior experience in housekeeping (required)
• Previous experience in a supervisory role (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
