Dayton Children’s Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper II for the Environmental Services - Surgery Cleaning team. The role supports high-quality patient care by maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment while interacting with patients and families.

The shift is 10:00PM to 6:30AM, every other weekend and rotating holidays. Education preferred is GED/High School diploma with 0–3 years of experience. Training includes chemical safety and proper disposal procedures.

Qualifications

• Trained in AIDET techniques and hospital values (innovation, collaboration, ownership, compassion, value creation, safety).
• Maintains a clean and safe environment while in presence of patients and families.
• Learn cleaning chemicals, usage, disposal, and safety measures.

Responsabilités

• Provide cleaning services in patient-care areas and public spaces.
• Make beds, empty trash, wipe equipment, clean furniture, and vacuum floors.
• Clean restrooms, launder hospital linen, and inspect housekeeping equipment daily.

Job Details:

The Housekeeper II provides cleaning services while in the presence of patients and their families. This is a high customer service position. The Housekeeper II is trained in AIDET techniques and demonstrates an understanding of the hospital values of innovation, collaboration, ownership, compassion, value creation and safety as job duties are performed. Job duties may include making beds, emptying trash, wiping equipment, cleaning furniture, polishing floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning restrooms, laundering hospital linen, daily inspection and inventory of housekeeping equipment and other assorted duties.
The Housekeeper II receives training about the cleaning chemicals that are used and will demonstrate competency in the proper usage, disposal and safety measures required to ensure a clean and safe hospital environment.
