Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking an Environmental Services team member at our Main Campus in Valdosta, GA. The role supports housekeeping with daily trash collection, bio-hazardous waste transport, and floor cleaning across assigned areas of the hospital.

Responsibilities include operating standard cleaning equipment and participating in performance-improvement activities to maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Must satisfy requirement of pre-employment and annual physical.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work safely with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and transport regular trash to the compactor.
• Collect and transport all bio-hazardous waste to roll-off containers for proper storage.
• Daily cleaning of floors in corridors and other assigned areas.
