Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Housekeeper I PD to maintain a clean, sanitary hospital environment in Fountain Valley during the evening shift. You will perform a variety of housekeeping duties to ensure patient areas and public spaces meet quality standards.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, good English, and hospitality experience; healthcare exposure is preferred. Per Diem status offers flexible hours with opportunities for growth within MemorialCare's facilities.

Position Summary
Performs a variety of housekeeping duties in order to maintain the hospital facilities in a neat, orderly and sanitary manner. Cleans and moves furniture, equipment and uses proper cleaning supplies according to established procedures.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities Of The Job

• Ability to safely and competently perform assigned duties
• Ability to follow through when given directions
• Ability to prioritize workload efficiently.
• Ability to perform the basic cleaning functions within the patient setting.
• Ability to perform job function utilizing safe practices such as but not limited to:
• Proper use of wet floor signs
• Safe Bio hazard waste handling
• Linen bags change out ½ full
• Ability to respond to emergency situations involving either patient safety or building safety according to hospital policies and procedures and/or regulatory requirements
• Ability to be at work and be on time
• Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives
• Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications/Work Experience

• Ability to follow oral instructions and understand simple written instructions.
• Able to follow work schedule which may vary with the assignments.
• Experience in the hospitality field, (Healthcare preferred)

Education/Licensure/Certification

• High School Diploma or GED or related experience preferred.
• Good command of the English language.
