Job summary

Pacific Grove Hospital in Riverside, CA is seeking a part-time Environmental Services/Housekeeping Attendant to maintain a clean, healthy patient care environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting rooms and surfaces, laundering linens, stocking supplies, and following infection control measures. 20 hours per week with paid time off. Competitive hourly pay $25–$27.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and custodial tasks for general upkeep and sanitation.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies using appropriate germicides.
• Move and arrange furniture, clean kitchens and floors, and launder linens as directed.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and stock as needed.
• Clean and store equipment after each shift.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and facility functions.
• Follow infection control measures and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsibilities

Pacific Grove Hospital in Riverside, CA., is a leader in behavioral healthcare, providing superior healthcare treatment to the people, communities, and military installations we serve. We are a private inpatient 68 bed acute psychiatric facility with out-patient services, dedicated to the treatment of behavioral health and substance abuse services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform specific cleaning and custodial tasks in the general upkeep, sanitation and cleanliness of the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment.
• Perform other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit use.
• Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
• Responsible for stocking of supplies as needed
• Follow all infection control measures.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Hourly pay range: $25-27

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical or healthcare environment preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid state driver’s license, where required in a facility.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
