Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a hospital housekeeping teammate for the day shift, 24 hours per week. Responsibilities include maintaining clean environments, sanitizing equipment, and assisting with bed moves and linen transport across the facility.

Candidates should follow infection control procedures, read and follow written and oral directions in English, and be at least 18 years old. Weekend and holiday rotations are required, with a competitive pay range described below.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled linen from clinical locations and transport linen carts.
• Rotate duties to cover day shift with weekends and holidays as required.

Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining overall cleanliness of environment of assigned areas.
• Maintenance and sanitation of equipment.
• Responsible for function setups and moving requests.
• Performs related services, such as bed moves, stocking housekeeping supplies, etc.
• Collect soiled linen from clinical locations throughout the hospital.
• Transports full linen carts to designated distribution locations throughout the hospital.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required

• A thorough working knowledge of hospital, departmental and infection control procedures.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral directions in English at the 12th grade level.
• Must be 18 years old

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.69 - $27.44

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
