Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a hospital housekeeping associate for night shift (6pm–2:30am) to maintain clean patient care areas, offices and public spaces.

You will follow the 10 Step Cleaning Process, use PPE correctly, and work with staff to resolve maintenance issues while upholding infection control standards.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak and understand English.
  • Proficiency with the 10 Step Cleaning Process.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Positive customer service and teamwork.
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and service patient care areas, offices, lobbies, bathrooms or other areas as assigned.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of 10 Step Cleaning Process and chemical use.
  • Coordinate with management to address and resolve facility issues.
  • Practice proper Infection Control with cleaning procedures and PPE.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and carts in clean, orderly condition.
  • Adhere to department standards as shown by quality inspections and feedback.

Overview:6pm - 2:30am, weekdays + rotating weekends & holidays.Job Description Summary:Provides high levels of cleanliness, quality, and service to patients, families and customers.Job Description:Essential Functions:Cleans and services patient care areas, offices, lobbies, bathrooms or other areas as assigned.Demonstrates knowledge of 10 Step Cleaning Process and appropriate chemical use to meet department standards.Performs routine cleaning and coordinates with management to address and resolve facility maintenance, service issues and other concerns.Practices proper methods of Infection Control in conjunction with cleaning procedures.
