Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Housekeeper I to join our environmental services team at Indian Creek Main in Overland Park, KS. This full-time role works 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM and focuses on keeping patient areas, offices and public spaces clean and orderly.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms and common areas, re-stocking supplies, moving furniture, and supporting a collaborative team while upholding hospital policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1 or more years of experience in hospital housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Maintains premises in a clean and orderly manner.
• Cleans offices, patient rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and other areas that may require attention.
• Cleans light fixtures, ceilings, vents, mattresses, furniture, window coverings, floors and carpets.
• Cleans by dusting, mopping, vacuuming and sweeping.
• Replenishes supplies.
• Moves furniture, hangs draperies and set up tables and chairs.
• Promotes effective teamwork.
• Displays professional behavior and positive attitude at all times.
• Adheres to organizational policies and procedures.
• Effectively manages hospital resources (time, supplies, equipment, etc.).
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Position Summary / Career Interest:

SHIFT IS 3PM - 11:30PM.

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, this position is responsible for the general overall cleaning of the hospital including but not limited to entryways, hallways, offices, and turnover of patient rooms.
