Job summary

Liberty Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper I to perform general hospital cleaning, including entryways, hallways, offices and turnover of patient rooms. Posting notes a need from 2pm-10:30pm with full-time coverage for days, evenings and nights.

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, you will maintain clean, safe premises and support cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, and supply replenishment. High school diploma or GED and 1+ year hospital housekeeping experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year hospital housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains premises in a clean and orderly manner.
• Cleans offices, patient rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and other areas that may require attention.
• Cleans light fixtures, ceilings, vents, mattresses, furniture, window coverings, floors and carpets.
• Cleans by dusting, mopping, vacuuming and sweeping.
• Replenishes supplies.
• Moves furniture, hangs draperies and set up tables and chairs.
• Promotes effective teamwork.
• Displays professional behavior and positive attitude at all times.
• Adheres to organizational policies and procedures.
• Effectively manages hospital resources (time, supplies, equipment, etc.).
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1 or more years of experience in hospital housekeeping.
