Job summary

Servicon, a family and women-owned environmental solutions company in Downey, CA, is hiring custodial staff to clean, sanitize, and maintain facilities in healthcare settings. You’ll follow established standards, handle waste, vacuum, dust surfaces, and ensure safe, orderly spaces.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of custodial experience; healthcare cleaning preferred.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Ability to visit client sites and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces, and damp-mop or clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.
• Other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.

The Role

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas using established practices and procedures according to company and client standards of quality and safety. May require frequent interaction with client.

What It Takes To Be Successful

• 1+ years of custodial experience a plus
• Prior experience cleaning in healthcare facilities preferred
• Must be fluent in English language
